The Nikon Camera Lense 18-70 MM

A great mid-range zoom camera lense that is perfect for short distance photography.  This lense was made available in 2004 with the purchase of the Nikon D70 Digital Camera.  The performance of the Nikon 18-70 mm lense is sharp!   I use this for my portrait work, still life work and short range photography.  If you purchase this lense with the Nikon D70 Camera - you will definitely save money.  You will pay aprox $340 when purchased seperately.

The Tamron 75-300mm Lense

The Tamron 75-300mm Lense is perfect for shooting wildlife, sports, special effects portrait work - great depth of field on macro pictures!  This lense is a great product for the price - for under $200, you are purchasing a camera lense that will give you good quality photos.  This has an incredibly quick auto-focus that is perfect for shooting wildlife and sports.  I have used this great camera lense for baseball - it focused in a split second on the ball coming towards me and the results were undeniably fantastic!

The Sigma 50-500mm Lense

The Sigma 50-500mm lense is absolutely perfect for birding - when you need to take a fast picture, before the wildlife gets away, this lense will do the job.  Its light, professional and quick to set, zoom and shoot.  This lense is strong enough to get great astronomical photos also. Anyone purchasing this camera lense will also experience incredible depth of field.  The Sigma 50-500mm lense is available for aproximately $1,000.

If you check the blogs, you will see that most people have had an excellent experience with the Sigma 50-500mm Lense, especially for the money.  One commented that he had a $5K Nikon Zoom that weighed so much that by the time he went to get the shot - the wildlife was gone.  Now he carries the Sigma with him at all time.  There were a few comments I read online that dust can get into the lense - in time....so proper care must be made in handling and storing.  I personally have had dust in my Tamron 75-300mm lense too, but I have owned it for 5 years now and blame the problem on hanging out of a plane to get aerial shots of the Tahquamenon Area in Michigan and changing lenses in high winds (I was wearing a harness).  I also had to send my Nikon D70 SLR camera in for repairs after that.  Now I know NOT to change lenses while in an airplane and to be careful in high winds.

I have other lenses, but they are not of the quality above.  I did fall prey to some cheaper camera lenses on ebay - yikes....you get what you pay for!!  I got this really awful wide angle lense for about 100 bucks....I used it once and it was the worst lense I ever used since I was 14 yrs old...so read all you can, see how they are rated, and know that $$ is important when you want results.  So I suggest to check online, read reviews - check out www.dpreview.com for some great suggestions also, and have fun with your digital experience!
